About us

What States do we cover?

Good question. Our personal opinion of the deep south doesn’t match up with an internet search. We cover those States we consider to be the deep south based on a lifetime of living here.

Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Mississippi and Louisiana.

Our Favorites

Our favorite beach is in South Carolina and our favorite mountains are in Tennessee. An American history vacation to Virginia is one of our favorite memories thanks to the fabulous tour bus guide we experienced. The single most relaxing vacation we ever enjoyed was a few days in a gorgeous antebellum B&B home at Tybee Island, Ga.

Our beginnings here

Y’all, this blog has been a back burner project for a few years. 2020 was my target for launching and so I took the plunge! I stay pretty busy at my other blog, Intelligent Domestications which is a homemaking blog loaded with southern recipes, simple DIY and seasonal craft ideas.

Who knew 2020 was going to be such a challenge to us all so personally and affect so many aspects of our lives! Press on, I say! See the glass half full, get back on the horse. Just be positive and find a bright side. It’s the only way to keep your sanity. Oh, and for sure you have to Trust God and say your prayers. That always helps.
